The art of rosary
Our team gets in touch with people who know how to make rosaries.
We record and study the raw materials used by the artisans as well as the processes of processing and creating the object. Then we investigate the promotion of the products and their entry into the market with the distribution networks. At the same time, we gather folkloric and ethno-anthropological data on this art which constitutes an important chapter of the cultural identity of our country.
Our purpose is to map the craft activity of the art of rosary at all stages, the difficulties and needs of the sector, the strong and weak points and the prospects for development in order to design interventions that benefit the artisans of the island.
Recordings are ongoing, data will be released in the last quarter of 2023.
